Doula and Childbirth Services, LLC
(Prices vary depending on contract, expectations, and a sliding scale.  The costs range from $300-$700). A deposit is due once contract is signed. Your contract may be adjusted to meet your family needs.
Sliding Scale and Payment Plans are not set in stone. Changes may be made without notice as expenses increase. I will work with each individual family’s financial situation and if hardship is proved, I will adjust my fees accordingly. I do offer payment plans. Every woman deserves a positive birth experience and every baby deserves a good beginning. All I ask is that the amount that is agreed upon is paid promptly and fully by your 36th week.  Cost is the same for cesarean births.
Please see FAQ page for more questions.

Additional Services
Prices
You will receive these services as my client, however, it should be noted that my services in no way guarantees the medical outcome of this birth. Those services include, but are not limited to:

1. Two Prenatal Visits -
Visit #1: This is a day time visit and this will be an initial interview to determine your expectations of me and my expectations of you. We will establish a birth plan and I will be able to answer any questions that you may have. (This visit usually takes place after your 6th month, but I am available to meet with you at any time in your pregnancy).
Visit #2: The purpose of a second visit is to familiarize me in my ability to find your home in the dark, a labor rehearsal (where we practice working together as a team), discuss your birth plan, and finalize arrangements such as when you will be expecting me to arrive and where certain items for laboring at home are located. (This visit usually takes place one month after your first visit.)

2. Labor support for the birth itself -
Jobs I will be performing at each birth besides supporting the laboring mother will include but not be limited to: making meals, preparing/retrieving ice chips, running bath water for mother, fielding phone calls, preparing/retrieving towels, massaging father's shoulders, assisting father, photographing/video taping, acting as liaison between medical attendants and laboring couple, keeping visitors to a minimum (and only those authorized by the couple to enter), informing the family of progress of birth process.

3. 1-2 Follow-up visits:
Visit #1: This visit will be made in the first 2-14 days following the arrival of the mother at her home. Its purpose is to check on breastfeeding progress and determine what other services are needed at home (if any).
Visit #2: This visit will be made if there were problems at the first postpartum visit. Its purpose may also be to determine if mom is getting enough rest and baby is doing well. (This visit is optional and may be done over the phone if family is fine with how things are going).

What is a doula?
Doula is Greek for : "A woman who serves."
A doula provides informational, physical and emotional support to pregnant women and their families/partners before and throughout the birthing process. A doula typically meets with expectant families a few times prior to the birth, offering information and assessing their individual needs and desires to have the birth experience that they choose.

As your doula:
*I will help you get the information necessary to make an informed decision.
*I will also remind you if there is a departure from your Birth Plan.
*I will discuss your concerns with you and suggest options, but you or your partner will speak on your behalf to the clinical staff.
*I will guide you thru relaxation methods to make birth easier to control.
*Assist father/partner with finding the best care before, during, and after labor.

Blessings of Birth offers:
*Free consultations
*Birth Plan assistance
*Prenatal, birth, and postnatal assistance
*Massage, relaxation support
*Breastfeeding Support
*Photos of birth
